Description
A large cast stone krater vase, created in the late 20th to early 21st century. The tapering body stands on a classically molded pedestal foot and is flanked by sculptural mask handles with gracefully curved loop handles. A richly modeled band of grapevines and clusters of grapes encircles the upper body beneath the broad everted rim, which is finished with a traditional egg-and-dart border.
Drawing inspiration from Renaissance and Baroque garden ornament, this impressive urn combines architectural elegance with finely sculpted decoration. Its generous scale makes it ideal as a focal point on a pedestal, enhancing formal gardens, terraces, courtyards, or landscaped estates.
The surface has developed an attractive naturally weathered patina with subtle signs of age, adding to its classical appearance.
