Paar gefasste Demi-Lune-Konsolen, Italien, um 1790

Pair of hand-painted demi-lune consoles in walnut, each raised on four tapering legs ending in small baluster feet. The straight friezes are finely profiled at the top and bottom. The painted finish has been newly applied: a light blue ground with darker blue decoration inspired by historical models, subsequently enhanced with an antiqued patina. A rare pair of Italian Neoclassical consoles from the late 18th century.
