Description
Louis XVI lid chest featuring octagonal paneled fields on the surfaces. The chest stands on fluted carved legs and is fitted with a carved apron centered by a rosette. Constructed from spruce wood, it includes an additional interior compartment. The hardware, including lock and key, is made of iron. The green painted finish is newly applied and subsequently antiqued.
