Grey-painted Desk, 19th Century

A grey desk in the Louis XVI style from the 19th century. The desk stands on fluted, tapered legs with brass sabots and capitals, emphasizing its classical design. It features four drawers, with the right drawer containing a removable insert box that conceals a hidden compartment.

The writing surface is covered in cognac-colored leather with a gold border. The light gray finish with antique patina is newly applied. Additional pull-out writing surfaces on the short sides extend the desk’s maximum length to 188 cm.
