Hand-Painted Folk Armoire, Southern Germany, Second Half of the 19th Century

Two-door folk armoire with original floral polychrome decoration on the door panels and vertical stiles. The four central panels feature symmetrical flower motifs on a light background, framed by red-painted moldings. Stylized floral vines also adorn the sides and pilasters. Turned bun feet complete this classic example of 19th-century Southern German rural furniture.
