Hand-Painted Folk Art Armoire, Southern Germany, Dated 1840, Inscribed “Katharina Vorth”

Vividly decorated two-door folk armoire featuring symmetrical floral motifs on four central panels, framed in green and adorned with tulip and blossom designs. Geometric and dot patterns enrich the surrounding surfaces. The cornice is inscribed with the name Katharina Vorth and the date 1840. Additional painted decoration on the sides and lower plinth makes this an exceptional example of 19th-century Southern German folk craftsmanship.
