Light Blue Painted Provincial Wardrobe, 18th Century

Light blue painted provincial softwood wardrobe with two doors, chamfered corners, and a boldly projecting, richly molded cornice. The doors are divided into asymmetrically arranged panel fields. The interior is fitted with four drawers and three shelves. The hardware is made of iron, with an elaborately chased lock. The painted finish is newly applied and subsequently antiqued using traditional decorative painting techniques.
