Elegant recamier in the Louis XVI style, featuring a right-aligned, gracefully curved backrest and a sleigh-shaped head section. The piece stands on baluster-shaped legs adorned with carved leaf motifs; the frame is finely profiled, and volutes accentuate the flowing lines of the back. Newly upholstered and covered in a brown velvet fabric. The cream-white finish is new and has been antique-patinated in the French Provincial manner.
