Pair of Louis XVI–Style Chests of Drawers with Historicist Decoration, European Craftsmanship

Newly made pair of Louis XVI–style chests of drawers featuring historically inspired painted decoration. The tall, rectangular chests stand on tapering legs and are each fitted with two drawers. The fronts are adorned with centrally placed antiquizing vase motifs executed in grisaille painting. The painted finish is applied using traditional decorative techniques and subsequently antiqued. The entire production process, from the wooden cases to the painted decoration, is carried out in Europe.
